This year, one of the things I prayed for was God’s help in bringing closer to me the good people in my life, and to shed from my life the ones who do not add that which He deemed important for me to shine.
Now, the year end approaches and I stand here with only a handful of people I trust. They are the people who, no doubt, always sincerely want the best for me, as I do for them, and with whom I can grow extensively. Admittedly, how some relationships turned out was unexpected and inevitably confusing. I do my best for all relationships, but, if even my best leads to a failed relationship, I look to the promises of one other prayer - that I be blessed with what I need. I no longer ask for more than that. Only what I need.
The purpose of this post is to signify the best account of myself that I am giving, and the pre-acceptance of conditions I am currently incapable of understanding. Because today, while I mull over the broken, I slowly make sense of my life. Like a puzzle, where we solve the pieces we know and leave the ones we don’t for later. We know, and we don’t, at the same time. As unpredictable as life can be, this is its clear cut system.
It’s always easier to understand something when you understand its system.
